The home, including the basement, features an HVAC system that provides heating and air conditioning.  The basement unit has an additional radiator near the entrance.  There is a Nest thermostat next to the entrance door that controls the radiator.  We also provide space heaters for the bedrooms.

In the summer, the basement can become cooler due to the air conditioning.  If it's too cool, you can close the ceiling vents, the vent behind the kitchen table, and the vent under the desk, and open the windows to allow warm air in.

In the winter, if its too cold, please make sure all vents are open and you can adjust the radiator thermostat.  You may also use the space heaters that are stored in the closets

• Towels can be found in the bedroom closests

• Cleaning supplies are stored under the sink and in the laundry room

• Vacuum, broom, mop, iron, ironing board, and laundry detergent can all be found in the laundry room

• Dish soap and hand soap, under the kitchen sink or laundry room

• Pack and play crib and high chair can be found in the living room closet

• Please take a quick minute to review the kitchen cabinets and drawers to familiarize yourself with where everything is located.

• The small beige box on the counter is for compost. Only organic material can be composted. When this bin is full, it can be disposed of in the green bin in the back alley. 

• Under the sink is garbage. Garbage can be disposed of in the black bin in the back alley. 

• Next to the kitchen window, there is a recycling bin. When this is full, the recycling can be disposed of in the blue bin at the alley.  There is also a bin for beverage cans and bottles. Bottles and beverage containers can be separated from recycling and Clagary has bottle depots throughout where you can return beverage bottles and cans for money.

• Please turn on the fan above the stove when cooking

• Please open the kitchen window if you anticipate creating some smoke/steam while using the hotplates.

• Please text us if you need something you cannot find, and we will bring it to you as soon as possible.

• Please turn the fan on when showering

• There are more towels in the bedroom closets

• Hairdryer and hair straightener are under the bathroom sink

• Lotion, shampoo, and conditioner are complementary and can be found under the bathroom sink.

• If you are with us for a longer stay, please text us if you run out of toiletries (Hand soap, toilet paper, body wash), and we will bring more as soon as possible.

Please follow the instructions on the washer and dryer.  Please use the kiquid detergent above the washer.
